Playback Transitions

Optional controls for moving cleanly between music tracks.

Off by default. Intentional quiet endings remain unchanged when this is off.

Live Stream

Optional: reveal the live stream control surface. The core player is unchanged when this is off.

Sync Play

Optional: watch the same shared-library video together. Each viewer streams independently; only temporary playback control passes through Sync Play.

Coast to Coast

Optional: a private two-person shared video with direct browser-to-browser voice. Conversations are not recorded.

Local Library Companion

Optional: use a small helper running only on this PC to browse local media. MKV compatibility is local-only; prepared MP4 copies are saved beside their originals. Cloud playback is unchanged.

Choose a dedicated media folder, not an entire drive or user profile. Files may be directly inside it or nested in any folder structure.

Advanced local library options

Use 8089 unless the helper reports a port conflict.

Local Media Directories

Optional fallback for browser-friendly local hosting. Most users should use Local Library Companion instead.

Local Library JSON

Backup method: paste or drop a JSON manifest. See the Local Library JSON guide.

Supported entries can use name, title, artist, album, objectKey, or file.

Download Companion

Local Library Companion is off.

Backup & Restore

Export or restore this browser's Impala identity data: preferences, playlists, player settings, playback positions, and local library JSON. Sign-in sessions and diagnostics are not included.

Restore overwrites the matching local browser data with values from the backup file.

System & Support

Review local functional diagnostics or open the consent-based feedback form.

On the player, press Ctrl+Shift+F to open feedback. Nothing is sent until you review the form and choose Send.

Cloud Library Connection

Advanced: connect this browser to an Impala signer service. Change this only when you are certain which signer belongs to this instance.

S4 bucket names, keys, endpoint, and region stay on the signer service. Changing this signs out the current cloud session.

This identifies this browser/device installation for future sync and support boundaries. It is included in backups.
